Where better to see fireworks go off with a bang than somewhere that really knows its saltpetre from its sulphur? On Saturday 8th - Sunday 9th November the Royal Gunpowder Mills, Waltham Abbey, is hosting a spectacular Guy Fawkes Festival with fantastic fireworks display.  

Learn about 17th century life, meet the ghost of Guy Fawkes and celebrate with a 15 minute firework finale! 

The world of Guy Fawkes and his fellow conspirators is being brought back to life with brilliance on Saturday, November 8th and Sunday, November 9th with some fabulous displays and activities. 

Discover the true story of Guy Fawkes and his infamous gunpowder plot by getting to know the characters involved and their Seventeenth Century lives during a light-hearted re-telling of the story in a special theatre production, “The Ghost of Guy Fawkes”, which is suitable for all ages and included in the admission price. 

Culminating in a fabulous fireworks display courtesy of Force FX – one of the country's leading pyrotechnic display companies – the evening is set to be an exciting and exhilarating event. 

Enjoy a traditional fireworks party that will not only see the 15-minute display, but will also feature a brazier fire pits, fairground rides and craft activities such as making Guy Fawkes lanterns. 

No fireworks night would be complete without something to eat, so visit our 'Gunpowder Café', or the outdoor catering stands.
