Guest Rooms First Completed in Multi-Phase Renovation at Best Western Aku Tiki Inn

WHO: Best Western Aku Tiki Inn a 132-room, family-owned hotel property in Daytona Beach Shores, FL

WHAT: Best Western Aku Tiki Inn has completed the first phase of a $2 million renovation, including newly refurbished guest rooms with all new flooring, window treatments, bedding and furniture. Staed Family Associates, third generation hoteliers and long-time players in the hotel development and management industry, purchased the property in January 2004.

The deluxe guest rooms and efficiencies, all still joined by interior corridors and featuring private oceanfront balconies or patios, now offer a refreshing island-style dcor. Dark wood furniture, custom draperies, decorative artwork and fine linens accompany pillow-top mattresses, microwaves, and 25 TVs for added comfort. Built-in closets add more living space to the already oversized rooms.

Throughout the renovation, we made a point to maintain the properties relaxing Polynesian atmosphere, said Blaine Lansberry, vice president of sales and marketing for Staed Family Associates. The property maintains its original splendor, but now offers many added comforts and amenities preferred by todays traveler.

Guests enjoy the same complimentary amenities, including daily cocktail reception, fresh-baked cookies, morning newspaper and parking, along with stunning ocean views, adorning tikis throughout and the indoor/outdoor koi pond. Other features include Traders Restaurant and Lounge, Daytona Beachs largest all-tiled heated pool, kiddie pool, table tennis and a large, grassy, oceanfront picnic area. High-speed Internet access, now available in all guest rooms, provides added convenience for business and leisure guests alike.

WHEN: Newly refurbished guest rooms are available now. Renovations to Traders Restaurant and Lounge and the expanded lobby area are to be completed by December 2005.

WHY: Maintaining a two-star MOBILE and three-diamond AAA rating, Best Western Aku Tiki staff have won a well-deserved reputation for exceptional service and meticulously maintained accommodations.
