The Channel Island of Guernsey may be just 25 square miles but it has a wide range of accommodation options for visitors this summer. These range from family friendly campsites and self-catering options to value for money guest houses and tranquil country hotels, offering something for families, couples and friends. Below is a selection of accommodation options available to book this summer (other options are available in all accommodation categories):
Camping
When the sun shines there can be few better feelings than sleeping in the elements. Being able to throw open the tent flap first thing in the morning and appreciate a new blue sky filled day is one of life's pleasures and Guernsey campsites showcase some of the island's natural beauty to its best.

The beautiful countryside setting and proximity to the beaches means visitors can enjoy the best of this island. Facilities include a tea garden which guests can use, a cafe and coffee shop and a boules pitch for Francophiles!
Rates start at £20 per person per night and £17.50 per person per night for a ready erected tent in july and August.
Self Catering
For those that like the freedom of flexibility self catering is the best option.
And with an island like Guernsey self catering is ideal. There are plenty of local specialities to try out from the tea bread Guernsey gache to the fresh and abundant seafood.
Guernsey is a gastro delight making it fun for the family to rustle up local dishes all together.

Guest Houses and Hotels
For those that prefer a few more home comforts on holiday and like to know breakfast will be prepared for them the value for money options of guest houses, bed and breakfasts and middle market hotels are perfect.

For those that prefer a central location the St George’s bed and breakfast is situated just walking distance from the old town of St Peter Port and the ferry terminal where visitors can hop over to the islands of Sark and Herm and further to Alderney. From some guest rooms there is even a view of the islands of Sark and Herm.
Rates start from £40.50 per person per night for a standard room including breakfast in July and August.
Getting there- Guernsey is accessible from London Gatwick with Flybe (www.flybe.com) and from Gatwick and Stansted with Aurigny (www.aurigny.com) with prices starting at £77 and £74 respectively. Regular regional flights run from Manchester, East Midlands, Bristol, Southampton, Norwich and Birmingham. Sea crossings from Poole and Portsmouth can be booked through Condor Ferries (www.condorferries.co.uk) with prices starting at £101.50 for a return ticket for a car and two passengers.
