Gastronomic hotel Le Saint-James is located in the village of Bouliac just 15 minutes from the centre of Bordeaux. The hotel is offering a free cooking lesson in their onsite cookery school, "Côté Cours" or free wine tasting classes for corporate groups of 6 people or more, taken between 23rd January and 25th April, 2014.
Only 20 minutes from Bordeaux airport, the contemporary hotel was designed to ensure that the stunning views over the hotel's own vineyard and the River Garonne can be enjoyed from each of the 18 bedrooms. The hotel also has an outdoor heated pool, a sauna, a gastronomic restaurant headed up by Michelin starred chef Nicolas Magie, the state of the art cookery school and a traditional French bistro just over the road.
The fun and relaxed cooking classes take place in the cookery school, "Côté Cours" and can be tailored according to the varying abilities of delegates. Budding cooks are taught skills such as how to prepare fresh scallops and lobster, to make simple, yet colourful and creative dishes to be enjoyed in the cookery school with a glass of wine.
The other option available for corporate groups is a complimentary wine tasting with the hotel's head Sommelier, Richard Bernard, who is one of the most highly acclaimed sommeliers in France. He takes groups on an enchanting journey through the history of wine in France, explaining how Bordeaux became the wine capital of the world. Examples of some of the wines that may be tasted are one white, Ch'teau Carbonnieux 2011 - Pessac Léognan, a red Ségla 2004 - Margaux, as well as the hotel's own red merlot, Le Vin Du Jardin.
Le Saint-James Hotel provides a spectacular setting for the staging of incentives, events, receptions and seminars. There are two large fully equipped meeting rooms available for delegates for corporate and private use. The hotel can also be booked on an exclusive use basis.
The hotel also owns Le Café De L'Esperance, a traditional bistro just a minute's walk away from the hotel in the heart of the beautiful and typically French village of Bouliac. The bistro sells rotisserie dishes and a tantalising selection of homemade desserts that attract visitors from far and wide.
As well as being within a 15 minute drive of Bordeaux, the hotel is in a central position to explore the rest of the wine region and is just 25 minutes from St Émilion. Le Saint-James is also just a 50 minute drive from the famous Arcachon Bay.
