Grin Creative Launches Lodge Life

Grin Creative

Award-winning content and publishing agency GRIN Creative has kicked off an exciting new year of travel by launching another dynamic digital publication, this time for Luxury Lodges of Australia.

The inaugural issue of Lodge Life is a complimentary digital magazine that showcases the breadth and scope of Australia's barefoot luxury paradises right around the country.

In order to tell the stories behind some of the most exclusive and remote accommodation experiences in the world, GRIN and Luxury Lodges of Australia collaborated to handpick acclaimed travel writers who could offer readers first-hand knowledge of what it is like being immersed in the unique offerings of each partner lodge.

Ute Junker, Carolyn Beasley and Kendall Hill headline a list of content producers who have helped to shine a light on the exquisite fare from produce grown in the Barossa, what it feels like to meander through an ancient rainforest with a First Nation's guide and float in nature's aquarium alongside a marine biologist on the Great Barrier Reef.

Luxury means something different to everyone, but the underlying goal for both GRIN and the team at Luxury Lodges of Australia was to inherently link the content within the interactive magazine to a sense of place.

“Luxury Lodges of Australia seem to effortlessly blend amazing locations, people, knowledge, service and flavour that appeals to all the senses,” said publisher Justin Jamieson.

“We're really excited to deliver such a visually stunning experience that really reflects what a Luxury Lodge experience is all about, and we're looking forward to seeing what people think.”

“Collaboration was key to developing Lodge Life in a way that represented not just our content, but our tone and brand values. The team at GRIN Creative were great to work with, despite the challenges of 2021.” Said Penny Rafferty, Executive Officer, Luxury Lodges of Australia.

“The positive response we have had to date from readers of Lodge Life is testament to the high appeal of this digital magazine platform and the work done by GRIN Creative to develop and deliver it.”

The first issue of Lodge Life also celebrates the past and future of Australia's luxury experiences with an exclusive one-on-one video interview with luxury lodge visionary and Chair of Luxury Lodges of Australia since it formed in 2009, James Baillie, Founder of Baillie Lodges.  Issue one also partners with luggage brand July and skincare brand Sodashi to assist with distribution to an untapped market of consumers and potential future guests.

Lodge Life joins a growing list of custom digital publications produced by GRIN in 2021 which has helped to redefine the way global audiences consume their travel content in a post-pandemic world.

“Our work in the interactive digital publishing space over the last 12-months has shown time and again that readers and consumers interested in travel want to be immersed. They've been told so many times to 'dream' about travel since the start of the pandemic, and a publication like Lodge Life does more than just help them dream,” publisher Justin Jamieson says.

“An organisation like Luxury Lodges of Australia - and the lodge partners - are perfectly suited to a format like this as new readers get a truly sensory experience that connects them to a place. They can read about what it is like to be in a place like Mount Mulligan Lodge, but also use their other senses to watch and listen about what makes it so special.”
