Greenearth.travel (GET) and Sustainable Travel International share in the belief that well managed travel and tourism can be a driver of sustainable development and, in turn, job creation, environmental well-being, increased appreciation for diversity and authenticity and sense of place. The new collaboration between these two organizations will allow Sustainable Travel International and GET to integrate their respective solutions in future destination initiatives and Green GrowthInvestment Roadmaps, plans and strategies.
Through the new collaboration, the organizations will focus on initiatives that advance green growth utilizing innovativenewframeworks and tools for sustainable destination management. Additionally, the collaboration willbuildonSustainable Travel International’s destination management solutions that protect the environment, senseofplace, and contribute to localized economic development,andGET’s expertise in green growth and investmentstrategies.
They will also extend this collaboration to their network organizations - the International Coalition of Tourism Partners (ICTP), co-founded by GET, and the Sustainable Destination Leadership Network (SDLN), convened by Sustainable Travel International. The two networks will partner on an annual Sustainable Destinations World Forum & Green Growth Investment Summit.
