Film Oasis, part of The Greater Palm Springs Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB), is very pleased to announce the launch of their production incentive program. The program is available for Unscripted Television, Commercials, and Still photography shoots, in addition to Scripted Television and Feature Films. The Bureau is committed to fostering the already film-friendly atmosphere in the Coachella Valley and has allocated a total of $100,000 per year to this program.

“Greater Palm Springs is an area steeped in Hollywood history. The scenic beauty of our destination has long-served as the backdrop for motion picture and television filming,” said Scott White, President & CEO of the Greater Palm Springs CVB. “However, with our exciting new incentives program, we are set to position Greater Palm Springs as a leading film production destination, bringing increased exposure and income to our nine cities.”

In order to qualify for funds, a production must spend a minimum of $25,000 in permits, lodging and meals in the incentive zones.  The nine cities of the Coachella Valley are divided into two zones, with $50,000 of incentive money available for each zone.

With this new incentive program, the CVB will enhance the “film friendly” tradition started by the City of Palm Springs with its incentive program.  The CVB program is designed to bring additional production to the nine cities that make up Greater Palm Springs. This incentive follows the trend of California destinations offering incentives to lure productions.  Visit Santa Barbara paved the way as the first in the State to offer production incentive money to Unscripted Television, Commercials and Still Photography shoots.
