3-times Oscar Nominee Sir Ridley Scott has Gran Canaria in a spin after arriving last week to scout out locations for his next big project. Speculation is rife that he'll choose the Island to film his next hit movie as he revealed to staff at the luxury Seaside Palm Beach Hotel***** that its views of the 'natural and wild landscape' were spectacular.

Scott and his production designer and right-hand man Arthur Max have been staying at the Seaside Palm Beach Hotel*****, Maspalomas and are said to be enjoying first-class seafood at the Orangerie Restaurant on-site. The Director of classics such as Gladiator, Blade Runner and Thelma and Louise has not revealed the title of the new movie as of yet.
