Gaziantep Press Trip Turkey (17-21 April 2016)

We organised a great press trip to Gaziantep where UNESCO added its list as a city of Gastronomy.

Gaziantep has a strong reputation in all culinary areas and one of the real treats of the city is its incredible food. The pistachios and thus the baklava are considered to be the best in the world  and it is the only Turkish food to achieve the honour to be officially protected by the European Union as an authentic food. 

There are more than 400 dishes and 291 species of them have already been registered. Gaziantep  cuisine has a privileged place in Turkish and world cuisine. The diligence in the selection of food ingredients which are used in the dishes and desserts as a heritage from grandmother to grandchild, the skills shown during the centruies. 

Gaziantep has been added to the list in the list of gastronomy category of UNESCO"s 'creative cities network'.
