Grandparents Holidaying With Grandchildren On The Up Reports Parkdean Holidays

Parkdean Resorts

Parkdean Holidays, one of the UKs leading holiday park companies with 24 parks across the UK, is reporting a large increase in the number of grandparents holidaying with their grandchildren.

Last year, over 22% of Parkdean Holidays visitors were grandparents travelling with grandchildren, either alone or with parents as part of an extended family group. This trend comes as no surprise with an estimated 300,000* grandparents in the UK acting as childcare resources. This figure is set to rise as parents rely more on grandparents for childcare in difficult financial times.

Our parks offer the ideal locations for grandparents to holiday with their grandchildren, says John Waterworth, CEO, Parkdean Holidays.

Shorter breaks such as half term holidays, when it is difficult for parents to get time off work, are particularly popular with grandparents. The long school summer break is also tricky for working mums and dads and Parkdean Holidays can offer great value family holidays across fantastic UK locations for grandparents wanting something different to do with their grandchildren. From adventure playgrounds to scuba diving facilities, fishing lakes and a 110m Snowflex Ski Slope our holiday parks offer excellent indoor and outdoor facilities to suit all ages, from tots to teens! In addition, we have excellent evening entertainment across all our parks.

Parkdean Holidays has 24 award-winning family holiday parks across the UK and offers all that is great about holidaying in Britain: fun with friends and family in the fresh air, playing on the beach, enjoying the fantastic choice of activities and facilities, exciting evening entertainment, all set in beautiful surroundings at the best locations the UK has to offer.
