Grand Wailea Spring Break Press Trip

Grand Wailea, A Waldorf Astoria Resort

Grand Wailea, a Waldorf Astoria Resort is hosting family-focused visits in March for Spring Break. Grand Wailea is located on beautiful Maui and has consistently been rated one of the top resorts in Hawaii for families. For instance, the hotel’s 2,000 foot long, 25,700 square foot, 770,00 gallon Wailea Canyon Activity Pool has more of an aquatic theme park vibe than just an average pool. It consists of nine pools that are connected by a river that carries swimmers along at varying speeds, from whitewater rapids to lazy currents. Wailea Canyon also has four waterslides, a whitewater rapids slide, a Tarzan pool with rope swing, the world's first water elevator at the center of a multilevel volcano (you sit on an inner tube that rises and descends with the water level), a sand beach, six waterfalls, caves, three Jacuzzis, an infant pool, and a swim-up bar. Camp Grande, a 20,000-square-feet children’s area with a theater, game, arts and crafts, TV rooms, a snack shop, and indoor and outdoor play areas, is also very popular for teens and young children alike.

For adults, there’s a magnificent mult-million dollar art collection to take in (and physically touch as sculptures by Botero and Leger are placed around the lobby of the hotel), the award-winning Spa Grande has several new treatments, and Chef Alan Wong’s Amasia has delicious new menus.
