Grand Hyatt Melbourne Hosts a Spectacular Living Grand Event Concept: Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil

Hyatt Hotels & Resorts (Aust)

Grand Hyatt Melbourne is dedicated to unlocking the extraordinary in every moment and this was highlighted last Monday with a spectacular event hosted by Hyatt Australia.

“Living Grand” within the Grand Hyatt Brand has been launched across the globe, with a focus on Living Grand in every way. Whether that is 'living grand' in Social spaces, Food and Beverage concepts, room and lifestyle components or meeting and Events.

It's about being visually bold, theatrical, grand statements in service and most importantly creativity when it comes to culinary excellence. It's about creating those 'Wow' moments!

Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil showcased Hyatt's dedication to “Living Grand” by creating unique moments of more to celebrate every occasion.

The enchanting event, held at Grand Hyatt Melbourne, highlighted the hotels bold event concepts with the creation of an immersive environment especially created for the Living Grand event. The hotels signature event space, the residence was transformed into an opulent 'floral fantasy' environment.

Hyatt guests from around Australia were treated to a bespoke dinner in the secret-garden stylised concept, inspiring a plethora of culinary delights uniquely crafted by Executive Chef Jason Camilllo and his culinary team. The food offerings created a sense of alchemy while the theatrics of the good and evil dining experience complemented the overall theme.

“Grand Hyatt celebrates grandness in all elements of hospitality,” said Ilan Weill, General Manager of Grand Hyatt Melbourne. “This event has showcased why Grand Hyatt Melbourne is the destination for spectacular events, creating moments of more in all events, both big and small.”

The courtyard of the residence was discreetly transformed during the event to create a surprise contrast from the garden room with a dramatic dessert reveal encompassing a digital garden concept. Laser lighting completed the multi-sensory experience while strong theatrical elements featured throughout the night. An array of surprises in the garden captivated guests including a live pony – Pipsqueak and an animatronic wolf to ensure a sublet sinister twist in the striking environment. A surprise appearance from the Melbourne Opera performing O'Fortuna was just one of many enthralling elements created for the event.

From extravagant affairs to lavish dinners and unexpected in-room delights, Grand Hyatt hotels curate astounding moments and infuse unparalleled grandeur into every experience around the world.
