This Summer, Grand Hôtel de Bordeaux & Spa will launch the new 'Le Concierge des Enfants' service for young travellers, with a special activities programme surrounding the its new bear mascot Victor. The hotel will also introduce 16 new suites for which it will partner with leading French childrenswear brand Bonpoint.
Spanning over 50 square metres, the new suites at Grand Hôtel de Bordeaux & Spa will offer larger and lighter spaces for families with a separate living area that opens onto a spacious bedroom and includes a comfortable sofa bed; allowing the suites to sleep up to four guests. The hotel is paying particular attention to younger guests, partnering with chic children's clothing and accessories house Bonpoint to offer a special Bonpoint kit including a bracelet for girls and a pin for boys staying in the new suites.
In line with this, the hotel will also launch a special concierge service, 'Le Concierge des Enfants'. Upon arrival, guests will receive a family-friendly welcome and children will discover an array of gifts in their rooms, from Victor bear cuddly toys for toddlers and films, to t-shirts for children aged 10 upwards. Rooms will also be equipped with children's slippers, dressing gowns and bath amenities, as well as offering cribs and a baby-sitting service on request.
Whilst in Bordeaux, 'Le Concierge des Enfants' can coordinate tailor-made programmes for children surrounding the 'Wonderful World of Victor'. From treasure hunts and family vineyard tours, to visits to one of the nearby sandy beaches and boat excursions in the Arcachon Bay, there is something for every member of the family to enjoy. Families can rent bicycles and explore the historic neighbourhood and surrounding countryside. Alternatively, they can take part in a city tour onboard a small train with accompanying audio commentary. In addition, 'Le Concierge des Enfants' can source tickets to the nearby family-friendly museums, including the Museum of Aquitaine, Public Gardens and Cap Sciences.
In conjunction with the hotel's brand new partnership with Bonpoint, 'Le Concierge des Enfants' can also arrange for guests to have out of hours private appointments at the Bonpoint store located on Rue Buffon in Bordeaux.
Back at the hotel, families can share a specially created brunch* in the relaxed atmosphere of 'The Bordeaux' brasserie, with high chairs available for babies and a buffet at children's height. Younger guests can discover the dedicated children's area, where they can experience a variety of activities from board games and drawing to face-painting, allowing parents to relax and enjoy their brunch. The brasserie offers a children's menu and an array of traditional French dishes prepared by new executive chef Stephane Carrade. Similarly, children will be able to choose their favourite dishes from the menus which will be made available at L'Orangerie, as well as the Pressoir d'Argent restaurant.
Tying in all of these family-friendly elements, the hotel will offer a special Leading Family Package, available all year round and starting from €685 (approx. £564):
- Accommodation for families of four in one of the new suites including daily breakfast at The Bordeaux brasserie
- Access to the Nuxe Spa 'Les Bains de Léa' for the whole family
