WHAT:  The two iconic Las Vegas shopping destinations, Grand Canal Shoppes inside The Venetian® Resort Las Vegas and Fashion Show Las Vegas, will celebrate the Year of the Pig in true fashion with several events in honor of the Lunar New Year.

Grand Canal Shoppeswill help kick off the Lunar New Year festivities on February 5 with two signature fan dance performances above the waterfall. Guests will be treated to a traditional Chinese fan dance that has been a part of China's heritage for over two thousand years, with performances at 3:45 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. In addition, more than 250 envelopes will be distributed to guests during the fan dance, each filled with a special prize from gift cards to chocolate gold coins.

Fashion Show Las Vegas will welcome the return of the Chinese New Year in the Desert™ for the 8th consecutive year with a special ribbon cutting and dinner affair on February 8. To celebrate the Year of the Pig, guests will be treated to a family-style dinner and cocktails sponsored by Remy Martin, as well as a traditional lion blessing and dance; cultural performances; and a one-of-a-kind live cultural runway show. Special guest Governor Steve Sisolak and First Lady Kathy will be in attendance.
