Grace Hotels has launched its 'Give with Grace' initiative, which will support the international organisation SOS Children's Villages and will form part of the charitable activities of the group's Grace Foundation.
Under the 'Give with Grace' programme, Grace Hotels donates $1 (or the local currency equivalent) for every night a room is occupied in each hotel. Guests are invited to donate the same amount for every night they stay. The combined funds are donated to support SOS Children's Villages' work for children at risk. Money is also raised through the sale of certain dishes and beverages within Grace Hotels' restaurants, and branded items such as a hand-crafted sterling silver bracelet featuring the Give with Grace emblem.
Established 65 years ago and now active in 125 countries, SOS Children's Villages provides family-based care, education and health care to children and young people who have lost parental care or who are risk of losing it. It also provides practical support for families who struggle to care for their children due to emergencies, poverty and other causes.
'Give with Grace' will be implemented across all Grace hotels and also its sister group, Aria Hotels. Education and training opportunities for young people supported by SOS Children's Villages are also provided in participating hotels through a special internship programme.
Marco Novella, Chief Operating Officer of Grace Hotels, said: “It is an honour for us to be offering our support to this dedicated and worthwhile organisation as part of our consideration for the environment and communities in which we operate. We hope that our guests will join us in taking a small but effective step towards a hopeful future for the many children and young people who are in need around the world.”
The Grace Foundation also supports numerous charities globally through the provision of room nights and special experiences at Grace hotels.
