The beautiful region of West Pomerania is located in North West Poland. It has many qualities such as incredible spa facilities and fantastic local produce, but more recently it has emerged as a new golfing destination with three stunning 18-hole golf courses, including a Gary Player design which is ranked in the top 100 European golf courses as well as being voted Poland’s best golf course.
The Polish National Tourist Office, in cooperation with The Word Association and the three beautiful golf courses, has the pleasure of inviting the British golf media on a tailored press trip to enjoy West Pomerania’s high-quality yet affordable golf, right in the heart of Europe. The visit will take in all three golf courses (Modry Las, Binowo Park, and Amber Baltic) and many sites of local interest - see draft itinerary below. With direct flights from London Stansted to Szczecin, there has never been a better time to visit Poland.
More on the golf courses:
Modry Las is the only signature golf course in Poland, a Gary Player design, and is included in Golf World’s (UK) Top 100 European Golf Courses. Officially opened in 2009, the course has attracted critical acclaim and recently picked up the 2012 award for Poland’s best golf course by the country’s leading golf website. In 2010 the course was short-listed for the prestigious Golf Inc Development of the Year Award. Please click on the link to read more about Modry Las. www.modrylas.pl
Binowo Park was founded in the year 2000 in the beautiful area of the Szczecin Landscape Park. In these picturesque surroundings of beech forests lies an 18-hole, par 72 championship golf course measuring more than 6000 metres. Binowo Park is also home to a 9-hole golf course along with a-driving range, putting green and club house. For more information on Binowo Park, please visit www.binowopark.pl
Amber Baltic was founded in 1993 and is Poland's oldest golf club. The 27 holes are a real challenge for professionals and amateurs alike. The club boasts several achievements in its short history including hosting the 1st Polish Open as well the Polish Amateur Open, Polish Junior Open, PGA Championship and the PGA Team Match.
