Since 2002, Rezidor SAS has supported Save the Children in their efforts to find immediate and lasting improvements to children�s lives, always hand in hand with the local communities where the children live. Save the Children is the world�s largest independent movement for children�s rights with programmes in over 100 countries.

Our collaboration with Save the Children is manifested through money collection boxes in the hotel lobbies, and through donation of redemption points from the members of our loyalty programme goldpoints by Rezidor.

In 2005, Rezidor SAS launched a redemption programme within their loyalty programme, goldpoints plus, whereby members could choose to donate their points to Save the Children. In November 2005, the members donated points to help the children impacted by the earthquake disaster in Pakistan and Afghanistan. In just a few weeks, an amazing 4,500,000 points were donated to victims of the Asian earthquake. Rezidor SAS doubled these points providing Save the Children with approx. EUR 19,000.

Approximately 7% of the donators also made a donation to Save the Children for the Tsunami disaster in January, with a total of EUR 16,000 being given to the relief efforts.
