 GoldenEye Announces New Accommodation

GoldenEye adds 26 great value Beach Huts to current accommodation offering

GoldenEye, the former Caribbean retreat of Ian Fleming owned by Island Records founder Chris Blackwell, has announced new accommodation to its site in Oracabessa Bay on the north coast of Jamaica.

GoldenEye is expanding to include 26 new beach huts, which will open at the end of the year. A new restaurant and bar, She'been, as well as a pool are being added to the property. The units will not include air conditioning as they will be strategically positioned to maximize the cool breezes that roll in from the ocean and surrounding hills. These octagonal houses will be built at varying heights- all with beach or bay views and shuttered windows- allowing guests to enjoy the natural sounds of the environment.

Ann Hodges, Jamaica's leading architect who was behind GoldenEye's original villa and cottage accommodations, has been called upon to perfectly blend the huts with the property's existing footprint. Marika Kessler, interior designer, will illuminate the new accommodations with hues of blue, coral, green and purple and Royal Hut fine linen. The Huts will provide simple, contemporary Jamaican-style luxury, while preserving the iconic history of the property's past.

Rates will start at $400 per night.
