Gold and Silver again...
The Australian Culinary Federations' “Restaurant of Champions” is over for another year and what a competition 2014 has been!
This year the Royal on the Park and The Walnut Restaurant & Lounge Bar entered in two categories- Restaurant and Functions. The competition was formidable, as such maintaining a very high standard for all participants in the finals held at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre.
Two judges visited the competing venues in each of the four categories and scored the overall dining experience. The score was based on quality and completeness of entry including menu, recipes, costing and work flow plan, presentation and execution.
Three top scoring venues of each category were invited to compete in a live cooking competition at Fine Food Queensland. The final for the 2014 Restaurant of Champions took place at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre / Fine Food from 11th April to 15th April 2014. The winners were announced at a celebration dinner on Thursday 17th April.
