Sightseeing Pass Australia

One-stop shop for tours, experiences and attractions Sightseeing Pass Australia receives GOLD Award for Specialised Tourism Services at the 2017 Perth Airport WA Tourism Awards.

The game changer for consumers to book tours and attractions in Western Australia is getting easier.

For visitors to Western Australia (WA), it has never been easier to find, plan and book tours, attractions and experiences thanks to the states first online e-commerce platform Sightseeing Pass (sightseeingpassaustralia.com).

Western Australian couple Lisa and Chad D'Souza, who have 40 years combined tourism industry experience, are the brains behind the innovative mobile responsive website.

After 18-months of intensive research and development, and a rapid learning curve in ecommerce, Chad and Lisa's concept finally came to fruition. It was the couple's determination, innovative and successful approach to investment and partnerships, unshakable passion for the industry and 100% confidence in their idea that created Sightseeing Pass and has allowed it to develop into a viable online venture.

Sightseeing Pass Director Lisa D'Souza said that there are one-stop websites to book flights and accommodation, and now there's one for sightseeing and touring.

“Sightseeing Pass has partnered with WA's leading tour operators to provide a hassle free booking service across all regions. We want to ensure every traveller has a choice so we've created experiences under the Food & Wine, Nature & Beauty, Coastal & Aquatic and Urban Culture pillars,” Mrs D'Souza said.

“Our mission when we launched in Dec 2015 was for Sightseeing Pass to make it easier for visitors to book tours and attractions in WA, inspire them to book some of the incredible experiences we have here, as well as support local tourism operators and the WA tourism industry.”

Sightseeing Pass has secured preferred agreements and strategic partnerships with airlines and credit companies such as Union Pay. The site has receives bookings from all around the world including Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, China, Indonesia, Japan, United States, United Kingdom and New Zealand. Recently there has been an increase from interstate visitors too.

Early in 2016 the directors saw an opportunity to introduce two more services to the business; film production and digital kiosks. The film production was to create videos to use both themselves and products, increasing awareness and engagement. The digital kiosks have been designed for the hotel reception areas minimising resources required at concierge desks.

“We want visitors to have access to our tours before they travel and while they're here in Western Australia. Our model is simple and easy to use” she said.

“Before Sightseeing Pass, visitors had to read guidebooks, gather information from review websites and industry-run websites then search for individual tour operators to book tours. While Government and industry backed campaigns do a fantastic job promoting the State, what they aren't able to do is provide a direct online booking platform with over 250 products all on one site”

Mrs D'Souza said that the response from the tourism industry, airlines and major hotel chains has been phenomenal.

“The feedback we've received is that finally they have somewhere to refer their customers, and importantly somewhere they trust.”

Launching in WA, Sightseeing Pass plans to expand the platform into other parts of Australia by February 2018.
