Go Coast to Coast With New Peninsular Thailand Cycle Trip

Grasshopper Adventures

Cycle across the southern Thai peninsula, from the Gulf of Thailand to the Andaman Sea, on Grasshopper Adventures' new Koh Samui to Krabi On Two Wheels tour.

Riding the backroads through jungle and rubber plantations, the seven-day, 350km adventure provides an exciting alternative route from the famous holiday island of Koh Samui to the dramatic limestone karst landscape of the Andaman coast.

After transferring from Koh Samui to the mainland by boat the cycling begins, climbing over the low eastern ranges with the immense Ratchaprapa Dam and lush forests of Khao Sok National Park providing memorable vistas.

One night is spent in a jungle treehouse or riverside bungalow within the national park, before the journey continues west to more luxurious accommodation at one of Khao Lak's finest resorts, where beaches, pools, spas and shopping awaits.

The final leg pedals past rolling hills, orchards and temples, with a visit to a Muslim fishing village providing an insight into the traditional lives of local fisherfolk.

This very achievable ride includes plenty of rest and rejuvenation time, a mix of upscale and more rustic accommodation, and delicious authentic southern Thai food that is noticeably different to the cuisine of the north.

As with all Grasshopper trips, an air-conditioned support vehicle follows the tour every step of the way and an experienced, English-speaking local guide plays host.
