Treasure Trails

We may be stuck at home this Valentine's Day, but you can still celebrate via an interactive experience with a difference! Grab your partner in crime – or your family – for some super-sleuthing with the FREE Treasure Trails Virtual Detective Mystery until 15th February 2021.

Be whisked away to romantically-named streets across the UK via Google Streetview to search for evidence and solve the Clues to crack The Case of the Stolen Heart.

“With everyone looking for activities to do at home and keep boredom at bay, we thought it would be fun to launch a virtual version of a Treasure Trail that couples and loved ones can do together – and it's been hugely popular so far! Our Virtual Valentine's Detective Mystery takes explorers all around the UK and you need to work together to solve the clues,” said Aaron Hutchens, General Manager of Treasure Trails.

What people have been saying about the Virtual Valentine's Detective Mystery so far:

  • “We really enjoyed doing this. Can't wait for lockdown to end so we can get out and do more of these.”
  • “My 6 year old son loved doing this tonight – thank you.”

Even better, there's real treasure to be won – if you solve all the clues and get the right answer, you'll be in with a chance of winning one of 14 Personalised Treasure Trails.

How to enter:

Download your Virtual Valentine's Trail via www.treasuretrails.co.uk/hidden-treasure/free-stuff/valentine-competition. When you've solved the mystery, submit your answer, along with your details. You have until 11:59pm on Monday 15th February to get your answer in. Then 14 correct answers will be picked at random to receive a Personalised Treasure Trail as a prize.

What are Treasure Trails?

  • These themed self-guided walking trail booklets (only £9.99 each) take explorers on a circular outdoor walking route of approximately two miles. But it's not just any walk; there's the challenge of solving clues along the way to crack a Detective Mystery, Treasure Hunt, or Spy Mission.
  • Each puzzle incorporates clues to be found on local landmarks, signs, statues, monuments, images, engravings, and other eye-catching features.
  • There are more than 1,200 Treasure Trails to choose from across the UK, with locations varying from cities/towns to villages and rural areas.
  • Treasure Trails are designed to appeal to all ages and are a great way of getting outdoors with (or without!) kids, doing a fun activity, and getting your steps up.
  • Available to buy online at treasuretrails.co.uk, they can be downloaded as a printable PDF or posted as a printed booklet.
