The Sunday Times Ultimate 100 British Hotels Guide 2015 has just appeared in print. This incredibly prestigious publication is perhaps the most awaited for its listing of unique and special hotels in the country. Included and named as one of the most romantic places to stay, is South Devon's Glazebrook House Hotel.

Following a visit from a Sunday Times' journalist earlier in the year, the Ultimate 100 British Hotel Guide says that the Glazebrook is 'full of pretty stuff' and focuses on the fun Alice in Wonderland theme including 'black walls, sparkling chandeliers and a wall of bowler hats'.

Commenting on this outstanding accolade, co-owner Pieter Hamman says: “The last few months have been a bit nail-biting waiting for this list to appear.  It has definitely been well worth the wait.  My wife Fran and I couldn't quite believe it when we saw the Glazebrook on the first page of the guide in the 'Romantic Love Nests' section.”  Pieter continues: “Given it's just over a year since our opening, we'd like to take this opportunity to thank both our loyal customers who have supported us from the start and all our wonderful staff who make the hotel what it is.”  The hotel was also awarded a 'Certificate of Excellence' from Trip Advisor in the summer. 

The Glazebrook House Hotel restaurant's new head chef, Dan Bennetts, was trained by Michelin starred Anton Piotrowski and the food is of an incredibly high standard. With more exciting news in the pipeline (watch this space!), this special restaurant is set to have a very good year ahead. 

The eight rooms, inspired by Alice in Wonderland and created with the visual brilliance of interior designer Timothy Oulton, are all unique and create an atmosphere which lends itself to the magic of the hotel.  It really has to be seen to be believed.
