New for 2016 is a cycle ride from Mount Kilimanjaro to the Ngorongoro Crater. The 350km route offers not only some fantastic biking but also some of the best sights that Africa has to offer. Starting on the lower slopes of Mt Kilimanjaro, participants cycle through Tarangire and Lake Manyara National Parks – home to some of the planet's most amazing wildlife. Cycling further, the route then goes through Maasai villages to eventually finish at the spectacular UNESCO World Heritage-listed Ngorongoro Crater.

For those who prefer to keep their feet on the ground, familiar favourite the Great Wall of China trek is back. The incredible five-day challenge follows this magnificent structure over watchtowers and mountains, through historic battlements and to the top of the 'Heavenly Ladder' at Mutianyu .The highlight must certainly be helping to repair the Badaling Old Section of the Great Wall where trekkers get to place their own brick in the wall – leaving a lasting imprint of their challenge. This immensely special privilege is unique to Global Adventure Challenges. Departing on 7th May and 15th October 2016, prices are from £1,724pp on a self-funding basis or participants can pay the £349 registration fee and raise a minimum of £2,750 for a charity of their choice. This includes return flights from London to Beijing, all transfers, accommodation and meals and a Global Adventure Challenges leader from the UK.

The Inca Trail continues to prove popular with departures on 22nd April, 6th August and 11th November 2016. Trekkers will follow the ancient route of the Incas, explore the Andes and uncover the mysteries of Machu Picchu on this spectacular five-day trek in Peru. Prices are from £1,898pp on a self-funding basis or participants can pay the £299pp registration fee and raise a minimum of £3,200pp for a charity of their choice. In addition participants will need to pay £200 for a mandatory trekking permit. This cost includes return flights fro London to Cusco, transfers, accommodation, most meals, cooks, tents, English speaking local guides and National Park Fees.

Nearer to home is a cycle ride from London to Paris to coincide with the finale of the Tour de France. Starting in London on 20th July, the 299-mile, 4-day route takes riders through glorious English countryside, to the ferry from Dover to Calais. Once 'French side', the group pushes on cycling along quiet French country lanes, through traditional market towns with views of the rolling green hills of northern France and on to Paris, where the spectacular Eiffel Tower marks the finishing line. Day five is then a free day in the capital to watch the finale of the Tour de France before catching the evening Eurostar back to London.
