Gilt Champagne Lounge Set To Enchant Knightsbridge

Jumeirah Carlton Tower

The time is now as GILT Champagne Lounge officially opens its doors to the capital?s most prestigious area of Knightsbridge at the Jumeirah Carlton Tower Hotel. Get set to be dazzled by the unveiling of a precious jewel offering fine Champagne and decadent interiors to the refined and discerning bar-flies of the metropolis. Step off the streets into a cocoon of luxe and sophistication ? the new Champagne Lounge sets a demure and relaxed scene. A blissful pocket of time where indulgence knows no end, Champagne flows and conversation bubbles. This unique jewel is composed of the finest and most considered ingredients, sourced from around the world. Champagnes are imported from the Domaine Pommery in France and interiors created by global tastemakers with precious finds from India, Italy, the Netherlands, the USA and the UK. World-renowned hospitality interior design firm, HBA/Hirsch Bedner Associates is at the helm of the interior aesthetic heavily inspired by both Champagne and the glamorous 1940?s era. On entering Gilt, a 1940?s replica brass door, leads guests through to the main bar, which is made up of an impressive slab of golden Onyx ? hand selected from the Italian quarries in Pisa. Custom made metal floors from India guide revellers through the sleek venue scattered with 1940?s inspired Lucite tables and chairs, while rich cream leather banquettes of buttery soft Scottish leather contrast with chocolate velvet mohair seating. With indulgence a strong theme, walls are also lined with the softest cream cow hide leather throughout. The pi?ce de r?sistance at Gilt Champagne Lounge is surely the Murano hand blown glass screens made up of an incredible 4,500 glass balls and inspired by bubbles and the dancing notes of a 1940?s jazz piece. Not forgetting a stunning chandelier made of 140 larger Murano glass spheres. Both pieces are created by New York artist Suzan Etkins. All eyes will be on Gilt?s signature piece - an enormous hand cast glass Champagne bowl overflowing with ice chilled Pommery Champagnes, including its four seasonal blends. To ensure the perfect intimate ambience is achieved, HBA enlisted award-winning lighting designer Maurice Brill, whose talents bring Gilt Champagne Lounge to life as if it were a priceless, precious jewel. For an injection of sophistication, glamour and just a hint of decadence make Gilt Champagne Lounge your first indulgence of Autumn 2006? where gold is the new black and where Champagne is always in fashion.
