GHM prides itself on providing guests with unique experiences in the upmost comfort and luxury.

Smart Travel Asias annual Best Asian Travel Brand Awards offered its online readers a choice of 1,000 Leisure Hotels and Resorts in Asia. The website boasts a readership of 1 million travel savvy individuals and voters judged from their personal experience, connotations of luxurious hotels, and their visions of relaxation abroad.

The Legian, Bali

Listed as No 3 in the list of Top 25 Leisure Hotels and Resorts in Asia, The Legian rose from No 4 last year and is a well known paradise for the privileged.

An exclusive, all suite resort located on Balis prime beachside strip of Seminyak, The Legian offers a serene getaway where wide, airy verandas grace each of the 66 spacious suites with large comfortable beds for lazing the day away. Aesthetically appealing, guests are surrounded by beautiful Balinese architecture, artwork and design and exposed to both the spectacular view of the Indian Ocean and the soothing sound of surf.

The Datai, Langkawi

The multi-award winning resort, and number 8 on the 2009 listing was GHMs first property when it opened in 1993. It soon set the standard for elite destinations and Asian inspired design resorts. Located amidst a luscious, tropical rainforest in Langkawi, off the coast of West Malaysia, The Datai is truly an oasis of relaxation and tranquillity. The Datais 40 villas, 16 suites and 54 rooms are all set within the rainforest with their own private veranda and stunning views of the breathtaking Andaman Sea beyond. A private footpath leads guests to an idyllic white sand beach, swimming pool and spa.

The hideaway resort is also renowned for its 18-hole Championship Datai Bay Golf Course adjacent to the hotel, providing sport enthusiasts with an ideal way of spending their leisure time.

The Nam Hai, Vietnam

Ranked as the ninth Best Leisure Hotel and Resort Asia, by Smart Travel Asias readers, The Nam Hai, Hoi An, Vietnam is the epitome of 5-star luxury.

Spread over 35-hectares and with a kilometre of pristine white sand beachfront, The Nam Hai features 60 private villas and 40 pool villas each with its own landscaped garden and views of the South China Sea and offshore Cham Islands. These spacious, split level villas feature distinctive Vietnamese design elements and sheer luxury set against the backdrop of the incredible, unspoiled beauty of Central Vietnam.

The Spa with its idyllic setting around a lotus filled lake, offers wellness and relaxation, complemented by three, terraced beach front swimming pools and sun terraces.

Nearby is Hoi An, (a mere 10 km from The Nam Hai), a remarkably well preserved ancient Asian trading port with an exciting fusion of cultures dating from the 15th century. The towns influence reflects indigenous Vietnamese culture, with Chinese and French colonial buildings combining to create this unique UNESCO World Heritage listed site, one of three in the area.

The Chedi Chiang Mai. Thailand

GHMs impressive fourth listing on the Best Asian Travel Brand poll was for its stylish resort in Northern Thailand; The Chedi, Chiang Mai. Ideally located on the banks of the Mae Ping River, it is set in tranquil grounds whilst being walking distance from the historic city centre.

Each of the resorts 84 exquisite rooms and suites boast private courtyards, open balconies and breathtaking views.

The stylish resort is built around the historic former British consulate building, which has been converted to a delightful restaurant and wonderfully evokes the nostalgic appeal of a bygone colonial era. The resorts stylish amenities, discreet service and sleek architectural lines are geared to discerning guests with a penchant for gracious hospitality.

GHM properties have won a wealth of awards from many of the worlds most influential travel publications. The Datai in Langkawi (Malaysia) has appeared virtually every year since 1998 on one or other of the various annual Conde Nast Traveller surveys, and is usually joined by several other GHM properties such as The Setai, Miami Beach (USA), the Chedi Muscat (Oman) and the Chedi resorts in Phuket and Chiang Mai. Other accolades include awards from Travel & Leisure, Ultimate Spa Guide, and the TTG Travel Awards to name but a few.
