Get Your Skates on – Tickets Now on Sale for the Millennium Square Ice Rink!

At-Bristol

At-Bristol, the Harbourside science centre, will again host the popular real-ice ice rink on Millennium Square this winter; tickets are on sale now and the build begins next week! Regular sessions will include evening 'Disco Boots' and special weekend 'Little Boots' sessions for under 8s. The ice rink will also be joined by 'Millennium Square Festive Fair' fairground activities including a 'Skyview Wheel' (a 35m observation wheel), après-ski container bar, chalet stalls and a fabulous Christmas tree.

Returning for a fourth year, the city-centre ice rink will open from Saturday 5 November until Tuesday 3  January; tickets are on sale now, and include sessions open to the general public, schools groups, home educator groups,  evening discos and special under 8s sessions. Located in the heart of the Harbourside, the 450m² ice rink will run underneath At-Bristol's iconic chrome-plated Planetarium building, with up to 150 skaters per session.

The ice rink will officially be launched on Thursday 3 November, with a firework display and invited guests taking to the ice, with public tickets available from Saturday 5 November. At-Bristol is also running one of its popular After Hours events that night, so the site will be a busy hive of activity!

This year, the real-ice ice rink will also be accompanied by some fun fairground activities including 'Skyview', a 35m observation wheel on Anchor Square; an après-ski themed container bar with rooftop views of the ice rink; a selection of small chalet stalls selling festive foods, and a Christmas tree. The Skyview Wheel will offer rides of up to 6 passengers per cabin, for a 5 minute ride offering stunning panoramic views of the city; it will run from 10am-9pm daily, with rides costing from £4 per child, £5 per adult.

Donna Speed, At-Bristol's Commercial and Operations Director said: “Having the ice rink on Millennium Square is always a special time for us; this year it's going to be extra special! It's fantastic that we've been able to add in some special activities such as the observation wheel with stunning views of the city; we'll have a beautiful Christmas tree, and lovely festive chalets alongside the ice rink. Along with all of the delightful seasonal activities that we'll be running in At-Bristol this year – it will make for a magical visit!”

Tickets will cost £9.50 for adults, £8.50 for concessions and £7.50 for children, with reduced entry rates for group bookings and a discount for booking in advance online. Opening times vary, so please visit www.at-bristol.org.uk/icerink or call our Bookings team on 0117 915 1000 (Monday to Friday 9-5) for more information. The ice rink will be closed on Christmas Day and Boxing Day.
