On Thursday 23 October, At-Bristol Science Centre will be once again be offering a night out with a difference, in the next of its ever popular After Hours events, and this one will be full of cranial capers!
Blow your mind with a trip to At-Bristol – visitors will have the chance to play on hundreds of exhibits as well as taking part in all sorts of mind-expanding activities, all with a drink in hand and no children around! Running four times a year, the After Hours series has a different theme each time, with this next one all about 'brains'
Visitors will be able to wield a scalpel and take part in sheep's brain dissections with Bristol neuroscientist Emma Robinson, boggle your brain in the 'Brain Game' room, taste some dishes made with pig's brain with Bordeaux Quay chef Kelly Seeley, and meet Bristol Neuroscientist Abi Benn to stimulate cockroach motor neurons to see how they work.
Aside from the brainy activities, there will be music, a bar, hundreds of hands-on exhibits to explore as well as Planetarium* which will be running the new Autumn Night Sky show.
After Hours: BRAINS is for 18+ year olds and runs from 6.30pm-10pm. Entry is £7, £6 At-Bristol members/concessions, £5 At-Bristol student members, plus group rates are available.
