COUNTY Durham's Morritt Hotel & The Garage spa are offering parents-to-be the perfect way to share some well-deserved time together before the appearance of their new arrival.
Expectant mothers can enjoy one last bit of indulgence thanks to The Garage's relaxing Mummy Massage - specifically designed with them in mind to create a treatment that not only targets those problem pregnancy areas but is also baby safe.
Yummy mummys can look forward to a blissful 55 minute massage where the spa's trained therapist will skilfully smooth away the aches and pains, concentrating on backs as well as swollen ankles and hands.
To make sure mums-to-be get the most out of their pre-baby treat a unique Bumps A Daisy pregnancy body oil is used. The sweet almond oil base works to gently soothe and relieve itching and effectively restore moisture to the skin to stop it drying out. Neroli and Mandarin also helps to ease the effects of water retention and increase circulation to provide a better night's sleep.
The unique oil contains nourishing wheat germ oil, which with regular use conditions and refines the skins texture, visibly helping to correct the appearance of stretch marks on a pregnant tummy, thighs, bottom and breasts, as well as preventing new ones.
The Baby Moon doesn't have to end with the massage though, as both soon-to-be mum and dad can make full use of The Garage spa's relaxation facilities. Couples can breathe in the benefits of the salt blocks in the Salt Inhalation Room, escape the stresses of the outside world in the upstairs relaxation room, or simply sit by an open fire with a good book and a slice of homemade cake outside in the Secret Garden's hanging pods or inside snuggled on a sofa.
For those wanting to make this a getaway to remember, the parents-to-be can dine at The Morritt's recently awarded 2 AA Rosette Gilroy's Restaurant enjoying contemporary dishes using only the very best local and British ingredients, before retiring for the night in one of the hotel's 26 individually designed bedrooms.
