Get The Royal Seal Of Approval With Regaldive

Regaldive

It was announced this weekend that HRH The Duke of Cambridge has high hopes for Prince George to one day follow royal tradition and become a qualified diver. The announcement, which Regaldive predicts will instigate increased demand for family dive holidays, came as The Duke of Cambridge was appointed as the new president of the British Sub Aqua Club (BSAC) and pledged to encourage more young people to get involved in the sport.

For parents who are keen to do as the royal role model advises, Regaldive has a host of new and exciting dive experiences for families, each of which offer life enhancing opportunities fit for a king, propelling children into a world of opportunity and potential.

For families looking for an educational slant on their dive holiday, Regaldive has this week introduced whale shark safaris to its Mexican portfolio. As if world class diving with schooling snappers, angelfish, lobsters and rays wasn't enough, families can now add a one day snorkelling safari onto their holiday allowing them to swim with the biggest fish in the ocean while learning about them from the on-board expert. Above the water the education can continue with a visit to the sites from the history books including the sacred Maya city of Chichen Itza.

Seven nights' at the all-inclusive Allegro Playacar Resort in Playa del Carmen cost from £1,085 per person. The price includes flights, transfers and seven nights' all inclusive accommodation. A learn to dive course costs from £343 per person, while experienced divers can book six guided dives from £184 per person. The new whale shark safari costs from £95 per person*.

For those looking to branch out and combine diving with other actioned-packed activities such as quad biking and horse riding, Regaldive's new and adventurous 'Family Package', now on offer at the Roots Luxury Camp in El Quseir, the Red Sea, is just the ticket. Offering the ideal base for families wanting to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, El Quseir is a quiet resort with an active focus.

Offering the opportunity to pick up many different skills and abilities, the Family Package costs from £949 per person and allows family members to choose between a PADI Scuba Diver Course or 10 guided dives depending on their experience. Beginner divers can take advantage of the quiet house reef while getting to grips with their skills away from the crowds, while those with more experience can venture further afield to pristine dive sites home to huge coral gardens, coral covered pinnacles and wrecks. In addition to this, the package includes a morning desert quad biking session, an afternoon horse riding session on the beach, one day at the Akassia Aqua Park as well as flights, transfers and seven nights' all inclusive accommodation.

Andreas Elia, Managing Director for Regaldive, commented “We're expecting to see a surge in demand for family dive holidays as a result of the Duke of Cambridge endorsing scuba. The Duke and Duchess are real trend-setters, whatever they're seen doing turns into the next craze and anything they're seen wearing sells out within minutes. Now that the Duke of Cambridge has spoken so openly about his love of diving, the underwater world and his enthusiasm for getting Prince George involved, we're sure family dive holidays will be no exception”.
