Get ready to sparkle with over a million lights this Christmas at Bedgebury
The countdown to Christmas has started, and Forest England's Bedgebury in Kent is getting ready to welcome its glittering Illuminated Trail back this year from 19 November 2021 to 2 January 2022.
Greeted by the sights and sounds of Christmas, experience Bedgebury in a whole new light as you wander beneath unique canopies drenched in seasonal colour. Inspired by the landscape itself it is a festive adventure in a world of trees.
The one-mile magical winter trail in the heart of the Kent countryside is a place where fairy-tale meets fantasy with something for everyone. Some of the brightest, brand-new installations coming to the Pinetum this year…There will be giant colour changing lilies, fields of light and burnished lantern trees filled with flickering flames. neon strings stretched between towering trees, larger than life colourful flora and plenty of fantastic selfie moments.
Trail highlights for 2021
- Field of light – this much loved and photographed feature returns for 2021
- Fire Tree – pause for a moment of quiet reflection at the Fire Tree glowing in the night
- Giant lilies – watch the reflections of giant lily sculptures dancing playfully on Marshall's Lake
See the Forest's impressive conifer collection adorned with decorations, so wrap up warm and be transported into a winter wonderland. Walk alongside dancing fountains and linger by shimmering reflections that cast light into hidden places. From the delicate and twinkling to the grand and spectacular, continue through the towering Tunnel of Light festooned by over 100,000 pea-lights.
Independent street food vendors bring a delicious twist to tasty treats on offer. Have yourself a holly, jolly Christmas and complete your walk under the stars with *toasted marshmallows, a *spiced winter warmer or *hot chocolate shared with someone special.
Christmas trails are the perfect way to get together with friends and loved ones, designed for visitors of all ages and is accessible to all to enjoy, just a 20-minute drive from Tunbridge Wells.
