When the executives in the Australian offices of Switzerland Tourism decided to publish a magazine emphasising the many unique highlights of Switzerland, they asked the experts in travel publishing – the team at get lost magazine – to steer the journey. Six weeks later, Switzerland Vistas was delivered from the printer.
This 42-page A5 publication covers the best of Switzerland, from the famous ski fields of St Moritz to the country's art capital, the city of Basel. For those planning to visit Switzerland there is also an extensive guide to getting there and getting around, featuring the Panorama railway routes.
“Switzerland Vistas is the result of two organisations combining their resources,” says get lost publisher Justin Jamieson. “Switzerland Tourism has excellent partnerships with advertisers and our editorial team has contacts with the best writers and the skills to turn the raw materials into an excellent focused product.”
The magazine contains original material, contemporary design elements and stories on some of the most interesting destinations in Switzerland. In the tradition of get lost magazine, there is also content for the traveller who seeks out the more unique experiences as well.
“No other publication in Australia does travel like get lost,” says Jamieson. “Our values and aesthetic can be seen in Switzerland Vistas, as well as many of the other projects we undertake.”
Switzerland Vistas has been distributed nationally with get lost Magazine's current 40th issue with another 20,000 to be sent out over the coming months.
