If you love to travel, get on board the podcast that's going places.

If you find most travel podcasts a bit too straighty-one-eighty, we've got something you should get in your ear holes right now: get lost – inspiring travel, the new podcast from get lost travel magazine.

Publisher of award-winning get lost magazine, Justin Jamieson, and 3AW's Mark 'Scorcher' Davidson, producer of A Moveable Feast, are the voices, and Damian Tardio is the producer and editor, of get lost – inspiring travel. This new podcast takes the road less travelled when it comes to audio offerings.

“To be honest, we've been talking about doing a podcast for a while now,” says Jamieson. “But we also wanted to sit back, see the approach other podcast producers were taking and – just like we do with get lost – offer people something they can't find elsewhere.

“A lot of podcasts are just two people chatting about a single destination, but we wanted to have a more broad appeal.”

Right from the catchy opening, the discussion moves along at a cracking pace, covering epic travel tales and the hottest travel tips and local insights. Plus, there are regular segments. Beer of the Month does what it says on the can. Pleased to Meet You is an interview with someone encountered on our travels. Then there's the Worst Thing A Tourist Has Said, where there will be a solid effort to feature travellers from parts other than the USA. Future episodes will include travel guests who can bring a sense of adventure and expertise to the conversation.

“It's informal, fun, hopefully funny, and we think all sorts of travellers, whether they only go overseas every couple of years or a few times a year, will get something from it,” Jamieson continues.

The plan is to release a new episode every month, but if you subscribe via the podcast app on your smartphone when you listen to the first one (available now on the Apple App Store and Google Play) you'll never have to worry about missing out.
