Treasure Trails

Out with Monopoly and down with Scrabble! When the family gets bored of board games this Christmas embark on an adventure in the great outdoors with Treasure Trails.

With festively titled Trails in locations across the UK groups can get outdoors this yuletide season and embody Miss Marple on a Detective Mystery, James Bond on a Spy Mission or Captain Jack himself on a Treasure Hunt.

We've gathered the best festive Treasure Trails for you to try during the Christmas break:

City of London - Pudding Lane

The perfect time of year for pudding. Explore The Monument, Sir Christopher Wren's commemoration of the Great Fire of London, Leadenhall Market and Fenchurch Street on this Detective Mystery.

The Ghost of Dick Whittington

This Spy Mission follows the star of pantomime making it a perfect trail to try during panto season. He's not just behind you on this Trail, you'll have to search harder than that, exploring The Thames, the Tower of London and magnificent Tower Bridge.

Rochester – A Dickens Mystery

For a truly Dickensian Christmas day out Rochester's Detective Mystery provides thrills and chills in the search for a murderer most foul. From the heart of Rochester's historic high street, you'll hunt high and low, past Tudor town houses and through medieval gardens to the towering Rochester castle.

York Chocolate and Sweet Trail

It wouldn't be Christmas without a tin (or two) of sweets. Indulge in this Detective Mystery which explores the picturesque 'chocolate-box streets' of York, dive into the famous sweet museum and unwrap amazing stories behind Terry's, Rowntree and other kings of confectionary.

Kings Lynn (Walks)

This Treasure Hunt follows a circular route within the historic grounds of the Grade II National parks known as The Walks. Whilst searching for clues Trailers will take in the St John Evangelist Church and the beautiful landscape of the Norfolk based park. It's also not far from Sandringham House where the Queen spends her Christmas so Trailers may be in royal company!

Lasting around two hours, the aim is to solve clues on a circular route of approximately two miles incorporating plaques, signs, statues, monuments, images, engravings or any other unique or eye-catching features.
