The luxury, villa-style resort announces its new Alpha-Omega Kiteboarding Experience to guests seeking the thrill of skipping over the crisp turquoise waves of Turks and Caicos.

 

The Somerset has teamed up with Turks and Caicos Kiteboarding (TCK), the no. 1 kiteboarding school on-island according to TripAdvisor. Located on Providenciales, recipient of the TripAdvisor 2014 Travelers' Choice award for #1 Island in the Caribbean and #2 Island in the World, TCK offers the island's only staff of fully qualified instructors who are certified through the International Kiteboarding Organization (IKO). The Alpha-Omega Kiteboarding Experience provides guests with professional instructors who can teach a kiteboarder at any level. With a little time and dedication, guests can go from beginner to expert and become an internationally-recognized IKO Level 3 rider in the same vacation.  

 

Packages range from a short three-and-a-half hour introduction to five days of lessons and can be added on to any vacation at The Somerset. Participating guests at The Somerset receive an exclusive discount on this professional training and additional discounts for groups. The Alpha-Omega Kiteboarding Experience options include:

  • Kite Mudder (3.5 hours)– Introductory level includes lessons on land and sea. $350 per person
  • Level 2 IKO Certification Package (3 Days – 9 hours) – Land essentials, water ready, kite control, up and riding. $800 per person (regularly $965)
  • Level 3 IKO Certification Package (5 days – 15 hours) – Level 2 plus consistency and upwind and toeside/switch. $1200 per person (regularly $1465)
  • Premium Level 3 IKO Certification Package – Level 3 plus private lessons on Days 4 and 5 - $1750 per person (regularly $2015)

 

When kiteboarding guests aren't skipping the waves of Turks and Caicos, they may relax on The Somerset's beach or in the oceanfront infinity pool, rejuvenate at the spa or stay active with complimentarypedal bicycles to cruise around Grace Bay.
