Away Resorts has some great autumn escapes in two of the spectacular destinations that British adventurer Bear Grylls has named in his top 10 #OMGB Amazing Moments as part of Visit Britain's #OMGB campaign to create a global social conversation around the amazing moments that people can only get in Britain.
8. Sea cliff climbing at Culver Downs, Isle of Wight
In at number eight of Bear Grylls' top 10 #OMGB Amazing Moments is sea-cliff climbing at Culver Downs on the southern section of the Isle of Wight. Bear Grylls' journey of adventure began on the Isle of Wight where his late father taught him to climb and sail.
Sea-cliff climbing may be a little bit ambitious for most of us, but if you want to share Bear's Amazing Moment on the Isle of Wight, book into a Bell Tent at the Canvas Village in Whitecliff Bay, just a stone's throw from Culver Downs, and climb up the Downs to its summit at Yarborough Monument for spectacular views of the cliffs, Whitecliff Bay and the surrounding area.
Built in the 1800s, Yarborough Monument is the tallest structure on the island and acted as a seamark for shipping.
In fact, Culver Downs and nearby Bembridge were once a scene of much military activity and this coastal walk gives keen adventurers a fascinating insight into the Isle of Wight's role in wartime defence and intelligence.
Where to stay: base yourself in a Bell Tent in Whitecliff Bay.
The Bell Tents are delightfully decorated with bunting, lanterns and festoon lights that give the cottage a warm English country cottage feel. The Bell Tents can sleep up to four and include a sofa, a dining table and chairs, TVs and cooking facilities. Shower facilities are nearby.
How much? Three nights in a Bell Tent from 16 September lead in at £107, while three nights in a Canvas Cottage.

9. Snowdon by foot - not train! Snowdonia, Wales
Away Resorts' Barmouth Bay Holiday Park is nestled between a spectacular mountain range and the sea within the breathtakingly beautiful Snowdonia National Park, a place that rocks up at number nine in Bear Grylls' top 10 #OMGB Amazing Months.
Barmouth Bay is a great place to use as a base to follow in Bear Grylls' footsteps and experience one of his Amazing Moments by pulling on your hiking boots and taking on the hills and mountains of Snowdonia during a short autumnal break in north Wales.
Where to stay: book into a superior caravan at Barmouth Bay and plan your adventures around Snowdonia with the best camera and hiking equipment in tow.
How much? Three nights in a superior caravan costs from £219.

Notes to editors
- Away Resorts is a private equity-backed UK holiday park operator, with a head office in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire.
- Away Resorts was founded in 2008 by third-generation holiday park entrepreneur Carl Castledine when he purchased Whitecliff Bay on the Isle of Wight. Carl's grandfather ran Britain's first holiday camp, at Caister in Norfolk, which opened in 1905, more than 30 years before Billy Butlin's first park.
- The UK holiday park operator Away Resorts now owns five parks across England, all of which are very different in personality.
- Whitecliff Bay on the Isle of Wight is the operator's coastal escape, Tattershall Lakes is the lakeside retreat, Mill Rythe Holiday Village is the entertainment-focused resort, Barmouth Bay is located on the north Wales coast with easy access to Snowdonia and the park's newest acquisition is Mersea Island, Away Resorts' island escape just off the Essex coast.
- CEO Carl Castledine aims to pioneer a new holiday park model with a pricing strategy that has a holiday option to suit every budget. The parks are constantly evolving introducing new activities and entertainment every season. For example for summer 2016, the park has teamed up with the Pauline Quirke Academy of Performing Arts to host a summer stage school.
- The leading UK holiday park operator has made one of the industry's biggest ever investments in a single UK holiday park, with the redevelopment of its Tattershall Lakes park in Lincolnshire.
- The £8m Tattershall Lakes project is part of a significant £12m investment programme across the Away Resorts portfolio of five locations, a strategy implemented when leading mid-market private equity firm LDC backed the secondary buyout of the business in April 2015.
