The Georgia OKeeffe Museum will host its Fourth Annual Artful House Tour, co-chaired by Mary Mahaffey, Nedra Matteucci, and Carol Prins. The Artful House Tour is the Museums annual fundraiser to support its exhibition, education, and public programs.
Guests begin the day at a delightful brunch generously provided by Las Campanas Santa Fe in their newly renovated Club House. At the brunch, guests will enjoy a delightful presentation by guest speaker Elizabeth Barlow Rogers, director of Garden History and Landscape studies at Bard Graduate Center and former President of the Central Park Conservancy. Rogers is also the author of several books, most recently the critically praised Landscape Design: A Cultural and Architectural History (December 2001: Harry N. Abrams, Inc.).
Following brunch, guests will tour four exquisite Santa Fe homes. The Artful House Tour is a unique opportunity to explore private residences designed by some of the regions leading architects, including Pedro Marquez, Wayne Lloyd, and Robert T. Ritter. In addition, an [EAttD1] award-winning, John Gaw Meemdesigned home will be open to the public for the first time on this tour. All four homes feature exceptional collections, ranging from art by Taos Society and contemporary Santa Fe artists to museum-quality Native American weavings and objects. The homes interiors and landscapes have been designed by Ron Scolman, Julia Berman, and Susan Dupp, among others.
After viewing these spectacular residences, guests will be taken to a reception at the historic home of Nedra Matteucci, founder of the renowned Nedra Matteucci Galleries of Santa Fe. Here, guests will be able to view Matteuccis own extraordinary collection and unwind in her magnificent garden.
The Artful House Tour features a raffle, drawn at the reception, that is becoming known as one of the best in town. The six Grand Prizes are: two luxurious weekends at Rancho de San Juan, an elegant Dutch wood table from American Country Collection, a bronze bracelet with cameo from Packards, an exquisite glass beaded basket from Casa Nova by Natalie, and a 27-piece Palm Sunday folk art set from Oaxaca, Mexico. In addition, meals at Santa Fes favorite restaurants, gifts from Santa Fes finest shops, and opportunities to indulge in some of Santa Fes most sought-after experiences will be raffled off. There are so many wonderful prizes that almost everyone is a winner! Raffle tickets are $20 each, three for $50, or 10 for $170. Six tickets or more must be purchased for a chance to win a Grand Prize. Raffle-ticket purchasers need not be present to win.
Tickets for the 2004 Artful House Tour are $150. All proceeds go directly toward supporting the Georgia OKeeffe Museums programs. Admittance is limited to 150 guests.
