Singapore, 18 August 2017 – In line with its focus on nurturing talent, Pan Pacific Hotels Group is pleased to announce two General Manager appointments for its PARKROYAL properties in Myanmar and Malaysia. Mark Losi is now General Manager at PARKROYAL Yangon, while Guy Owen will head up PARKROYAL Kuala Lumpur.

 

Mark Losi, General Manager, PARKROYAL Yangon

Mark is one of Pan Pacific Hotels Group's most experienced General Managers who has been with the Group for 15 years. Mark was first appointed General Manager of PARKROYAL Penang Resort in 2002. He then took the helm at Pan Pacific Orchard, Singapore, and subsequently oversaw PARKROYAL on Beach Road's SGD20 million makeover before moving on to PARKROYAL Kuala Lumpur.

Under Mark's watch, these hotels yielded strong financial returns and achieved commendable customer satisfaction standards. Besides his drive for performance excellence, Mark is known amongst his colleagues and the teams he has managed over the years for his personable leadership style. 

Mark will now lead the award-winning PARKROYAL Yangon, which is located in the Central Business District and within walking distance to iconic landmarks such as the Shwedagon Pagoda and Bogyoke Aung San Market. The 333-room hotel underwent an 18-month long refurbishment in 2016, and now features elegant public spaces, light-filled guestrooms, flexible event facilities and exciting dining concepts.

 

Guy Owen, General Manager, PARKROYAL Kuala Lumpur

Guy, who comes from an F&B background, has rapidly advanced in his career with Pan Pacific Hotels Group since joining the Group in 2008 as a Food & Beverage Manager at Pan Pacific Orchard, Singapore. In 2012, Guy was made Food & Beverage Director at Pan Pacific Nirwana Bali Resort and earned several promotions before becoming its General Manager in 2016. 

Guy is known for his ability to nurture close ties with stakeholders while driving the performance of the property. Guy's dedication and constant innovation has helped to create many success stories and bring about guest satisfaction and loyalty at the resort. Prior to joining Pan Pacific Hotels Group, Guy was with The Savoy London and the Covent Garden Hotel London. 

His latest role will see him taking charge of PARKROYAL Kuala Lumpur, a 426-room hotel in the heart of the bustling Malaysian capital with easy access to the city's business, shopping and entertainment districts, as well as city landmark Petronas Twin Towers.
