Gaylord Opryland's "A Country Christmas" Presented by Cracker Barrel Old Country Store� Opens in November for 21st Season

Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center will host its 21st annual A Country Christmas� celebration in 2004, with presenting sponsor, Cracker Barrel Old Country Store�. The holiday season at the world-class resort begins Nov. 17 with Gaylord Opryland�s popular Lighting Ceremony. The new headline event this year is the Music City Holiday Spectacular presented by Allstate Insurance Company. Additional new events include ICE! presented by BellSouth and Santa�s Workshop for Kids. Many of the well-loved traditions return including: Gaylord Opryland�s always-festive Christmas decorations with two million lights; the World�s Largest Nativity Scene; Treasures for the Holidays craft fair; the Yule Log Ceremony; and horse-drawn Carriage Rides. �Each season we offer a good mix of traditions plus new features to keep things fresh for those guests who come back year after year,� said Arthur Keith, senior vice president and general manager of Gaylord Opryland Resort. �This year we are adding the Music City Holiday Spectacular, Uncle Scrooge�s Christmas Banquet, and have completely transformed ICE! We are also very excited about having the Opry back at the Grand Ole Opry House this year. This year marks the first season for the Music City Holiday Spectacular presented by Allstate, Nov. 18 � Dec. 26, 2004. This magical and musical extravaganza is a new holiday production and is a unique presentation of the Christmas season�s most-adored songs, holiday scenes and spectacular theatrics. This one-of-a-kind show features heartwarming visions of family Christmases, stunning aerialists who perform while soaring above the audience, a �Gingerbread Hoedown� in a dancing Christmas kitchen, parading toys, incredible puppetry, fabulous vocalists, a beautiful rendition of Christ�s birth, and a live musicians performing new treatments of traditional Christmas songs � plus two original compositions. All of this only at Gaylord Opryland and only in Music City, USA. The Music City Holiday Spectacular will be performed at the BellSouth Acuff Theatre, adjacent to the Grand Ole Opry House, on the Gaylord Opryland complex. Ticket prices range from $25 to $56.

Fantasy In Ice has returned. And to reflect the all-new design it has a new name, ICE! From the new name, ICE!, to our newly expanded cold room, to a whole new world of delightful ice environments and characters, Nashville�s most exciting and unique holiday destination is back and better than ever. The

ICE! experience provides an unusual and exciting annual destination for the holidays. Patrons will, as always, be overwhelmed by this magical holiday experience. This winter wonderland created from 1.5 million pounds of ice � kept at a constant 16� F � blends amazing frozen creations with thrilling ice slides, as well s dramatic lighting and special effects. ICE! is presented by BellSouth and will be open daily from Nov. 18, 2004 � Jan. 2, 2005, in the Gaslight Theater, adjacent to the Grand Ole Opry House, on the Gaylord Opryland complex. Ticket prices are $14 for adults and $6.75 for children (ages 4-11).

The popular Linda Davis Family Christmas Dinner Show is scheduled for a third season from Nov. 18 � Dec. 25, in a beautiful ballroom at the Gaylord Opryland Resort. Grammy award winner and recording artist Linda Davis will be joined by her family and several other multi-talented entertainers to provide a Christmas musical production after guests have enjoyed a scrumptious holiday dinner at Gaylord Opryland. Ticket prices are $45 for adults and $18 for children (ages 4-11).

Calling all elves! Santa�s Workshop for Kids, available December 4, December 11 and December 18, is the place for kids to experience Santa�s workshop. They will enjoy making special cookies for Santa and a personalized plate for them, decorating their own Christmas ornaments and riding through the workshop on Santa�s special North Pole Express train. Children are provided cookies and punch while being entertained by our costumed characters. Old Saint Nick himself will be on hand to hear all the children�s special wishes for Christmas and to take that cherished photo which will be placed in their own hand decorated photo frame. Each child takes home their own �goodie bag� for all of their special gifts they made being an elf in Santa�s Workshop! Ticket prices are $20 for children ages 12 and under.

The General Jackson Showboat will be the setting for Uncle Scrooge�s Christmas Banquet, Nov. 18 � Dec. 23. Take a trip down the Cumberland River with the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Future and share a night of music, memories and laughter as we celebrate Scrooge�s amazing transformation from the miserly man he used to be. Tickets are $59.95 plus tax for adults and $34.95 plus tax ages 4-11.

Treasures for the Holidays is an enthralling craft show featuring a variety of hand-made and novelty gifts, ranging from candles and jewelry to clothing, artwork and food from more than 80 vendors from the United States and Canada. The show is held in the Ryman A Exhibit Hall at the Gaylord Opryland Resort from Nov. 18 � Dec. 22. Ticket prices are $6 for a one day admission and $10 for a three day admission. The Delta Fountain in the Gaylord Opryland Resort is the location for the nightly performance of the Yule Log Ceremony. This delightful ceremony is a version of the medieval Yule Log lighting, believed to bless the house in which it is located as well as those who attend the ceremony. The Yule Log Ceremony is held daily, at no admission charge, from Nov. 18-Dec. 25. The World�s Largest Nativity Scene is located in the Magnolia Pool courtyard and features special lighting effects and an audio rendition of the biblical story of the birth of Christ. Visit the World�s Largest Nativity scene from Nov. 18-Dec. 26, at no admission charge. Experience horse-drawn Carriage Rides to enjoy the decorations and lights � sure to delight young and old alike. Carriage rides are available from Nov. 18 � Dec. 24. Prices are $25 (for up to four people), with an additional adult charge of $5.50 each and an additional children (ages 3-11) of $3.50 each, with a maximum of six people per carriage.
