The Coppermines Lakes Cottages (Gate House) announced today that it has been awarded a Highly Commended certificate in the Self-Catering Holiday Property of The Year category in the 15th annual Cumbria Tourism Awards which took place Wednesday 21st June 2017. The Cumbria Tourism Awards are held annually to celebrate the county's diverse tourism industry cumulating in a prestigious black tie awards ceremony.  

Gate House is situated in Coniston in the heart of the picturesque English Lake District. A magnificent Visit England '5 Star Gold' Georgian property with local artistic historical links. Once home to the famous Lakes artist Alfred Heaton Cooper in the early 20th century, the completely refurbished Gate House which comfortably sleeps 8 is now the epitome of an exceptional Lakeland home.
