Airline Awarded Close to 60 Awards of Excellence in 2014

Garuda Indonesia, the airline of Indonesia, has continued to receive accolades for business growth, exemplary customer service and product improvements in 2014 with close to 60 awards in the past 12 months.

2014 has seen the airline honoured with 38 Domestic awards and 20 international awards, highlighting that the airline is continuing to “take off” as a world class airline. Notably, Garuda Indonesia attained nods such as Fortune's Most Admired Companies, the World's Best Cabin Staff by Skytrax, and the Passenger Choice Award for Australia and Asia.

In line with its continuous service improvement and on-going business transformation through the Quantum Leap 2011-2015 program, and after winning the title of The World's Best Regional Airline in 2012 and The World's Best Economy Class in 2013, Garuda Indonesia was also awarded as airline with The World's Best Cabin Staff for 2014 by Skytrax London. This award was based on a global customer satisfaction survey that was conducted on 18 million passengers.

With Garuda Indonesia's Quantum Leap program in place until 2015, the airline's commitment to service earned it a huge number of related awards. The “Quantum Leap 2011-2015” program is being implemented through a seven step strategy that includes building a stronger brand, better product, and services. With 14 awards related to great service in 2014 alone, the current four star airline is on track to reach their goal of becoming a five star airline by 2015. The sheer number of awards is a testament to the great work Garuda has been doing across the board.

As the winner of two awards in the Fortune Most Admired Companies 2014, APAC Airlines Executive of the Year 2014 and the Indonesia Most Admired CEO 2014 for transportation, Garuda Indonesia is flying high. Taking an environmental approach has ensured Garuda Indonesia received two awards in the Indonesia Green Awards for developing integrated waste and pioneering pollution prevention. In line with the 'green' recognition, Garuda's own Emirsyah Satar was awarded the Green CEO Award 2014. 

2014 has also seen Garuda Indonesia awarded with Best Cabin Crew by Skytrax, Passenger Choice Award in both the Asia and Australian regions, and Indonesian Customer Satisfaction Award 2014 for the best airline to achieve total customer satisfaction, and Service Quality Award 2014, among others.
