Established in 2011 by Monique Meloche of Monique Meloche Gallery with the help of fellow Chicago art dealers Andrew Rafacz and Scott Speh, GWC highlights the breadth of contemporary art in Chicago by inviting national and international art professionals and collectors to the brick and mortar spaces of Chicago galleries. Invited national and international collectors, curators and critics will experience a curated Chicago weekend of private gallery tours, exclusive museum access, and
coveted reservations at Chicago's top, and world renowned, restaurants.

Participating galleries including Andrew Rafacz, ASPECT/RATIO, Carrie Secrist Gallery, Corbett vs. Dempsey, DOCUMENT, moniquemeloche, Rhona Hoffman Gallery, Richard Gray Gallery, The Mission, threewalls, Valerie Carberry Gallery, Volume Gallery and Western Exhibitions.

Each participating gallery will host a series of artist talks and tours during the weekend. Events will be published on gallery websites as well as GWC webpage and social media outlets.

In addition to the private events GWC holds for invitees, GWC galleries will be holding
extended hours for the public t
