"Gallery Earth" Makes A Great Day Out In London And Best Of All Its Free!

Earth From The Air

Finding somewhere to visit in London that keeps everyone happy and doesnt break the bank is not easy to do. Yet a major photographic exhibition 'Earth From The Air' a photographic portrait of our planet by Yann Arthus-Bertrand which opens in London on June 6th is a spectacular free open air exhibition of 120 giant-sized aerial photographs (2.5 x 1.5m in size) and easily enjoyed by all ages.

It will be at the More London site on the South Bank of the Thames close to Tower Bridge until the end of September. The vast area has been transformed into an outdoor gallery on a massive scale in the most fantastic riverside space with its backdrop of the Tower of London and Tower Bridge.

Additional attractions are a giant-sized walk-on map of the world which is popular with children of all ages and allowing visitors to say without a hint of exaggeration that they went out for the day and walked around the world.

The photos tell the story of our changing planet; how we live and what impact we make. Taken in over 100 countries, most of Arthus-Bertrands photos were expertly captured by flying in helicopters over his subjects.

Its opening is boosted by the unveiling of 7 new images from the photographers continuing project to record the state of the planet at the start of the new millennium. The exhibition has already inspired millions world-wide with its beauty and, often hard-hitting, impact.

Exhibition Director Chris Bridge, of Wecommunic8, said: This is a great free attraction and that makes it a fantastic thing to add to your plans for a visit to London. We find people come to the exhibition and stay far longer than they expected as they take it all in. The More London site is now a buzzing outdoor gallery.

Chris adds: It may not make you a radical environmentalist, but it might change your view of the world. The exhibition is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week until the end of September 2005. It is free to visit.
