Renowned for his gastronomic flair and passion, the Italian-Andalusian will bring a wealth of experience to his new role at the award-winning venue in Murcia having worked as a chef and executive chef at several luxury hotels, resorts and restaurants across Europe over the last three decades.
As well as enjoying high-profile positions at top eateries in Madrid, London, Marseille, Bordeaux and, most recently, in Perpignan, Galindo also spent time training with Ferrán Adriá at the world-famous three Michelin-starred 'El lBulli' restaurant in Barcelona – named number one by Restaurant Magazine in its list of the top 50 restaurants in the world a record five times.

Galindo, 48, said: “La Manga Club is a brand that is recognised all over the world and to have been given the opportunity to play a leading part in the future development of the resort is something that makes me very proud.
“As Europe's premier sports and leisure destination, it is vital that the resort continues to evolve and look at ways that we can improve the five-star experience we offer to our customers. Hospitality plays a big part in this and I'm relishing the chance to show my passion for food and gastronomy in a number of exciting ways in this new role.”
Set over 1,400 acres in an area three times the size of Monaco, La Manga Club has been at the forefront of sports and lifestyle destination resorts in Europe since its inception in 1972.
Among its recent accolades, the resort was named as Spain's leading golf complex at the 2015 World Golf Awards for the second year running and voted 'Best Golf Resort in Spain' by UK readers of Today's Golfer magazine for the fifth successive year, while it also extended its partnership as the official overseas training base of the Lawn Tennis Association.
