JV Public Relations is proud to announce that one of their clients, the award-winning Schloss Elmau Luxury Spa, Retreat & Cultural Hideaway hosted the 2015 G7 Summit this June.
Welcoming seven of the world's most powerful heads of state and government, their spouses and their staff, the luxurious 5-Star Schloss Elmau was selected by German Chancellor, Angela Merkel for its internationally renowned service, spaciousness and spectacular setting.
Schloss Elmau's hosting of this year's G7 follows the recent opening of its brand new Retreat – a hotel within a hotel – just unveiled this March. Comprised of 47 spacious suites, infinity pools, a yoga and pilates pavilion, state of the art fitness centre, three gourmet restaurants and a 21,000 sq ft spa, Schloss Elmau's Retreat is a tranquil Alpine sanctuary from which guests can hike, swim and ski, or simply unwind at the feet of the Wetterstein Mountains. It was here that the seven world leaders stayed for the duration of the summit.
Positioned in the verdant foothills of a Bavarian Alpine valley, Schloss Elmau has consistently ranked as one of the best hotels in the world, boasting 130 rooms, a 70,000 sq ft spa, yoga retreat, concert hall, library, bookshop and nine restaurants including the Michelin-starred Luce d'Oro.
The hotel's hosting of the 2015 G7 Summit has already garnered significant coverage in leading publications such as The Times, The Financial Times, ABC News, BBC News, CNN and on the front page of The Wall Street Journal Europe.
“It is a huge honour”, says Schloss Elmau's General Manager, Nikolai Bloyd, to ABC News. “The spotlight of the world is coming down to look at this beautiful area of Germany, this picturesque valley in the Bavarian Alps”.
