Uniquely known as a "studiotel", Luna2 Studios boasts 14 open-plan studios, along with Orbit Restaurant pop! lounge bar, Lunaplex 16-seat cinema, Space rooftop bar, Fuel Station and Mondrian-ic poolside. The façade features a signature Panton-esque pattern "bubble-icious" which leads inside to the playful, primary color palette of Luna2 Studios, referencing modern classics such as Lego, Monopoly, Rubik's cubes and the works of Piet Mondrian. Aptly referred to as "FUNked-up modernism", Hall's distinct style was inspired largely by her father, an architect in the 50's and 60's, who passed on his love of modern design.

 

Each of the 14 studios highlights one of four accent colors - blue, red, yellow, green - and features optic art by Dutch artist Irene Hoff. Modular furniture has been designed and produced by Melanie Hall, complemented by key designer classics and accessories from around the world. From Chupa Chups to champagne, the in-room maxi bar is wrapped up in retro SMEG fridges and contains all the essentials. Each room also features the latest mod cons, including a pre-loaded iPod & sound dock, two flatscreen TV's and a retro Bronvega TV with wireless headphones. That's not forgetting an iPad, its universal charging station and in-flight shopping options from the custom Luna2 iPad App.



Lunafood

 

The same playful Luna2 style - blending nostalgia, futurism and fun - is injected into the food and beverage options dubbed Lunafood. At the helm is Executive Chef Brenden Peace, who leads the 30-seat Orbit Restaurant. The dining selection features new takes on classic dishes, with pop culture and cosmic references intermingled. Luna2 chefs use the highest quality ingredients, pairing international produce with locally sourced organic vegetables and home-grown herbs. Lunafood is complemented by an underground wine cellar stocked with 140 hand-picked labels from around the world. Those preferring to retreat to their studio can enjoy Luna2's in-flight dining, an innovative take on room-service.

 

From Underwater to Underground

 

To sustain guests' high-octane lifestyles, this studiotel offers health & fitness services at Fuel Station. From personal training sessions to poolside pampering therapies, there is everything a guest needs to detox. A particular highlight is the Mondrian-ic color blocked swimming pool comprised of Bisazza mosaics and injected with sub-surface sounds. Swimmers can also peek through an underwater window into pop! lounge bar. This underground designer den spins Lunatunes till the early hours of the morning and is outfitted in striking shades of purple, shocking pink, pan-am turquoise, post-box red and silver.

 

Holiday Surprises

 

Lunaplex, the private 16-seat cinema, screens the latest blockbusters and old classics three times a day. The cinematic experience is completed with reinvented movie bites, from bling dogs - Luna2 gourmet hot dogs - to popcorn-infused cocktails. Families can make use of the child-focused concierge service, complete with kids-coordinator and various Lunajuniors programs, which range from action-packed sports sessions with a trainer, to degustation dinners. Couples on date nights and star-seekers alike will find the ultimate ocean view from Space rooftop bar.
