Kuta, Bali, December 5th, 2022. Through a month-long effort during this year's Pinktober, the Hard Rock Hotel Bali successfully gathered funds to further support Bali Pink Ribbon's aim of increasing breast cancer awareness.
The Pinktober activation campaign included an online auction in which participants had the opportunity to win stay vouchers to Maldives, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, and Indonesia; the sale of limited-edition 'Stay Strong' merchandise, such as beach sarong, mugs, and gym sack; another initiative also featured the sale of two designated pink beverages, which were available for purchase by hotel guests at the hotel's F&B outlets. In addition, pink Fender guitars were added to the brand's Sound of Your Stay ® music program, allowing the hotel guests the unique opportunity to check out a complimentary guitar on-site. The giant surfboard at the entrance to the hotel was also wrapped in pink to raise awareness of the campaign
All proceeds from Pinktober activations will be donated to Bali Pink Ribbon and put toward funding the foundation's roadshow which will enable their team to educate women in the remote areas of East Indonesia about breast health and provide free breast cancer screenings, allowing them to better manage and recover if the disease is detected earlier.
An awareness program and free health screenings were also conducted for each and every female band member of the hotel. Over fifty Hard Rock Hotel Bali female employees attended the Breast Cancer workshop hosted by the Bali Pink Ribbon Foundation. As a means of protecting themselves and their family from cancer, they emphasize the significance of early detection and screening and the importance of adopting a healthy lifestyle. Participants in the workshop were given step-by-step instructions on how to perform a breast self-exam in the comfort of their own homes.
With its unwavering support throughout Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Hard Rock continues to demonstrate what it means to live out its motto of "All is One," with the goal of lending a hand to those individuals and communities that need it the most.
