But also part of this worldwide entertainment company are some of the most well-respected and renowned animal parks in the world, featuring natural habitats and environments, educational programs, hands-on explorations, and scientific research projects focused on the preservation and protection of our wildlife.

Each of Six Flags' three U.S. animal parks uniquely complements the traditional Six Flags theme park, offering visitors a double dose of fun and learning in one location. In addition, the year-round park at Six Flags Mexico features playful dolphins; Walibi Aquitaine in Toulouse-Bordeaux, France offers a fantastic sea lion show; and Bellewaerde theme park in Ypers, Belgium features a variety of educational animal exhibits.

Six Flags Wild Safari in Jackson, New Jersey Part of the world's largest regional theme park at Six Flags Great Adventure, Six Flags Wild Safari's 350-acre wildlife preserve is the largest drive-through safari outside of Africa. Also on site are African lions, the American black bear and Canadian brown bear, Australian kangaroos, Siberian white tigers, and Peruvian llamas.

Marine World is also home to three African and three Asian elephants, including Tava, who came to Marine World at the age of three in 1981. Best known for its marine research and scientific studies, Six Flags Worlds of Adventure gained approval from the National Marine Fisheries Services to import Shouka, an 8-year-old female killer whale, who had been living at marine park in France. Shouka will participate in a breeding program as well as education and conservation-oriented presentations. Shouka arrived at the Ohio park in 2002 via a specially rigged 747 jet.
