Update on 20th of July 2021: Please note, that the UK except Wales has been made red in Denmark with effect from 17 July. This means that you will need a so-called 'worthy purpose' to be able to visit and that there is a quarantine in place and PCR testing is required before entry. Every Friday at 3pm the Danish list is updated, please stay up to date on en.coronasmitte.dk
With the latest announcement from the British government, English visitors who are fully vaccinated will soon be able to travel between Denmark and amber regions of England without having to quarantine either way.
Denmark has already opened its borders to fully vaccinated visitors from amber parts of the UK, and from 19 July 2021 there will be no quarantine for English visitors coming back after a holiday to a country on the amber list, where Denmark is currently placed.
See Denmark's map of current red, amber and green regions here.
Only Brits from some regions of the UK are able to visit Denmark at the moment, as Yorkshire And The Humber, North West England, North East England and Scotland are currently on Denmark's red list. This means that visitors based in these regions can't visit, unless they have a valid reason, however, fully vaccinated visitors from amber regions such as Greater London can enter Denmark now, should they like.
”We are so excited about the news of quarantine free travel for English visitors from amber parts of the country. With more than 8000 km coastline in Denmark, buzzing cities, harbour baths, hundreds of islands and world class food experiences, there is something for everyone to experience and enjoy. And Denmark really is just a short flight away”, says Dennis Englund, the Market Director for VisitDenmark UK.
If you are based in an amber region of the UK and fully vaccinated, then you can visit without quarantine and testing.
