Frontiers North Adventures, specialists in adventures in Canada's north, has released its 2014 trip collection. In operation since 1987, Frontiers North has built a reputation for delivering life-changing travel experiences.
Offering the largest variety and number of departures for polar bear viewing, the 2014 product line-up includes adventures in Manitoba, Nunavut, and British Columbia as well as arctic cruises with stops throughout Canada's arctic.
“We're kicking off 2014 with the launch of a new active summer adventure, our Churchill Summer Explorer is a collection some of our favourite summertime activities in Churchill and one that we hope will be a hit with active adventure travelers” said John Gunter, President and CEO, Frontiers North Adventures. “Our Churchill Summer Explorer offers adventure travelers with the opportunity to visit this destination well-known for its autumn polar bear tours and experience Churchill in a whole different way. Unlike in autumn when the main attraction is the polar bears in the summer travelers have the opportunity to see beluga whales, polar bears and possibly even catch a glimpse of the northern lights.”
Adventures to take note of in 2014
Churchill Summer Explorer
Discover the allure that Manitoba's north holds with an active summer adventure in the remote community of Churchill. Walk in the footsteps of the Hudson's Bay Company of Adventurers on a guided hike from Sloop Cove to Prince of Wales Fort. By kayak get close with the thousands of beluga whales that spend their summer in the Churchill River. On a hike along Churchill's coast enjoy spectacular views of the Hudson Bay and learn about life on the land from a local. Finally, explore the flora and fauna on a Tundra Buggy excursion in search of polar bears and other arctic wildlife. Frontiers North's new Churchill Summer Explorer takes place in August.
Northern Lights and Winter Nights
If viewing the awe-inspiring Aurora Borealis is on your travel wish list then 2014 is the year to make this wish a reality.
